Vinology Brandy Warmer Set

Today I’m going to be writing about my experiences using the Vinology Brandy Warmer Set. This is the ultimate in gift sets for anyone who loves a drop of Brandy.

You get a gold-plated stand that has been designed to perfectly balance the supplied Brandy glass without toppling over.

The idea behind warming a Brandy is to release the full flavour and aroma.

But is it any good? Is it worth the money? Time to test it out!

Packaging and Contents.

The Vinology Brandy Warmer Set comes packaged in a gift designed cardboard box. The box measures 23.5cm x 12.5cm x 15.5cm and weighs 540G.

Inside the box you’ll find the following items: 1x Brandy Glass, 1x Gold-Plated Stand, 1x Candle, 1x Candle Holder.

Vinology Brandy Warmer Set.

The Vinology Brandy Warmer Set is an executive looking gift set for the Brandy loving individual. It’s not only designed for Brandy though, you’ll be able to use it with Armagnac, Cognac, Sake, Sambuca and other liqueurs

The stand is Gold-Plated and allows the supplied glass to sit at around 65 degrees. There is a 4.0cm gap between the bottom of the glass and the top of the candle older. It’s enough to be able to transfer the heat from the candle without leaving burn marks on the glass.

The candle supplied a standard 4.0cm tealight candle, the same as the ones available in every supermarket for next to nothing in terms of cost.

The stand with the glass situated on top measures around 18.5cm in height. the glass supplied is a snifter glass with a 400ml capacity.

Testing the Brandy Warmer Set.

Now comes to the most enjoyable part of reviewing products, the testing part. And for this review I’d have to drink a glass (or two) of Brandy. So, I went off to Aldi and bought a 70cl bottle for just over a tenner. I’m no Brandy connoisseur, but it looked alright, it’s Brown, contains alcohol and perfect for my review.

I found it best to pour in the Brandy whilst the glass was on the stand as I wasn’t sure how much I could pour before it poured over the edge of the glass. Having it situated in the stand whilst pouring eliminated the guess work.

I’d say you get around a UK standard double measure, again, I’m no expert, but it seems about right.

Next light the candle, the flame is far enough apart without blackening the glass, but close enough for heat to transfer onto the glass. I’d say a fair time lapse of around 10 minutes was enough to suitably heat up the Brandy. It’s quite cool when you tip the glass upward, the vapour makes a cool smoking effect pouring over the top of the glass.

The Vinology Brandy Warmer Set wasn’t just a gimmicky gift set, it works! The Brandy did become warm, but not hot where you’d burn yourself. Would I use the set every time I wanted a glass of Brandy? probably not, I’m impatient.

10 Minutes is too long to leave a drink sitting there!

But I was pleasantly surprised an impressed that it worked. It also feels very high in quality too, not cheap and nasty. The glass supplied is also very good in quality too, normally a supplied glass of any type is defected in some way, but not this one.

Conclusion.

I quite like testing out the Vinology Brandy Warmer Set. Maybe it was for the Brandy drinking? But overall the gift set is amazing. It’s very high in quality too.

Surprisingly, it worked well, normally these types of novelty/giftware items are just that, gimmicky, novelty items. But in this case, it’s a usable product. But would I use it every time I wanted a drop of Brandy? More than likely the answer is no!

So, if you’re after a unique gift for someone who likes to drink Brandy then I highly recommend this product from Vinology, this brand is part of the Original Products umbrella of brands, which also includes Jeray and Oliphant (A personal favourite of mine).

The exact version of the brandy warmer is not available now on Amazon, but there’s a Jeray branded version, the only difference is the stand, it’s Silver instead of Gold.
