Today I’ll be reviewing the PINGKO Digital Alarm Clock. This bedside clock features a large Blue LED display, which can be adjusted to 5 different light levels.

Powered by a Micro USB 5V supply, this clock can be used worldwide and can be used with any USB power source.

You get a choice between 12/24-hour time settings, 2 different alarm clock settings, a 9-minute snooze setting, and 2 different sound level choices too.

But is this alarm clock any good? Is it easy to set up and use? Time to test it out!

Powering up the PINGKO Digital Alarm Clock.

This alarm clock needs a power source to be supplied to it in order to operate. You simply use the supplied Micro USB Cable (Which has a length of 1.5m) and hook it up to any 5V DC power source. You can use a standard Android mobile phone charger, or a generic USB power adapter and you’ll be fine. Be sure to use a reputable USB power plug though.

When you power up the PINGKO Digital Alarm Clock the display will show a time of 00:00 and you’ll now need to set up the time and alarm using the control buttons.

The clock also has an in-built CR2032 button cell battery that will remember your time and settings in the event of power failure. When power is up and running again the clock will simply display the correct time/alarm settings.

Setting up the Alarm Clock.

To set the time you need to press the time setting button and the minute section will start to flash, now use the up/down buttons to change to the correct time. You will need to keep going and the hour section will start to change too. You can press and hold this button and the clock will very quickly flash through. Press the time setting button to save your time setting.

Be aware of the 12/24 clock setting though and be sure to set the time correctly depending on your 12/24 hours selection.

To set an alarm you need to press the alarm 1 button and use the up/down button (Like the time setting) to choose your alarm time. If you press the 12/24-hour button you can choose the sound level of two different beeps. Press the alarm 1 button again to confirm the setting.

If you wish to set another alarm, follow the same above procedure but use the button alarm 2.

To silence the alarm, you need to press the alarm button. If you press the snooze button, you’ll get a 9-minute snooze time. The alarm tone gradually increases to a maximum level of 90dB.

Conclusion.

I quite like the PINGKO Digital Alarm Clock. It’s very basic in terms on functions. But basic is not a bad thing. If you want an easy to use alarm clock, then this one from PINGKO is perfect. I like the Blue LED display and the fact that you can dim them to a level to suit you is also great. PINGKO fail to mention what the CR2032 battery is for on their Amazon listing, but I can confirm this battery is a memory battery, which in my eyes is a huge plus point and should be mentioned.

I can’t really find any negative points to mention; this alarm clock works well and is very easy to use and set up.

If you want the PINGKO Digital Alarm Clock for yourself, it’s available for purchase only on Amazon. The RRP for this product is £15.99.
