Pros

  • Well Known Brand

Cons

  • Didn't Work at All!

Today I’m going to be reviewing the Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub. This handy little adaptor allows you to use multiple USB devices and memory cards for your USB C device.

It’s universal and can be used on laptops, tablets and smartphones. Anything with a USB C outlet!

The Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub is great for transferring files from your device to a USB flash drive, or inputting images from a TF/SD memory card onto your device. The only downside is you’re not able to charge your device whilst you’re using this hub.

But is this hub any good? Is it easy to use? Time to test it out!

Packaging and Contents.

The Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub comes packaged in a White cardboard box. This box measures 14.0cm x 8.0cm x 2.5cm and weighs 85G.

Upon opening the box you’ll find the following; 1x USB-C Hub, 1x Fabric Storage Pouch, 1x User Manual, 1x Warranty Guide.

Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub.

The Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub is very small in size, it measures 10.0cm x 3.0cm x 1.0cm and has a cable length of 15.0cm. This hub weighs 45G and comes in either Grey or Silver.

All the ports are on one side, you get 3x USB ports, 1x Micro SD card slot, and 1x SD card slot.

I was using (well attempting) this hub with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 smartphone, but it didn’t recognise the hub at all. I tried a SD card and a TF card and nothing! Then tried using the USB outlets on the hub, but still my smartphone was having none of it.

I then tried the hub with Windows laptop using a USB-C adaptor (which has worked in the past for other hubs) and still nothing.

Maybe Lenovo have sent me a dud. It’s a shame as I was hoping for a hub now that I’m using a device which supports USB-C as this provide a much faster data transfer rate and will help me export my images onto my laptop quicker.

But it was just not meant to be!

Conclusion.

The Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub didn’t work at all. Obviously, the hub I was sent was faulty. Nothing I do can get it to work, none of my devices could register that it’s been plugged in either. It’s a faulty hub!

Would I recommend this hub? No! Would I recommend another hub? Yes, they’re (when working) useful for multi-tasking on your device, especially on later devices where output ports have been reduced.

But I can’t recommend the Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub as it simply didn’t work.

If you want the Lenovo C613 USB-C Hub for yourself, it’s available for purchase only on Amazon. The RRP for this product is £22.99.
