SZILBZ Mini Wireless Keyboard

Today I’m going to be reviewing the SZILBZ Mini Wireless Keyboard. This touch-sensitive keyboard can be used across many different devices, including; PC’s, Tablets, TV Boxes, Projectors, and more!

A simple USB wireless receiver connects to your device via the USB port, and that’s it! Nothing complicated and no software needed.

The SZILBZ Mini Wireless Keyboard has 4 different functions, these include keyboard, mouse, touchpad, and remote control.

Is this keyboard any good? How does it work? Time to test it out!

Packaging and Contents.

The SZILBZ Mini Wireless Keyboard comes packaged in a plain looking Brown cardboard box. This box measures 18.0cm x 10.5cm x 2.5cm and weighs 175G.

The packaging looks very generic and obviously can be used for other merchants on Amazon who simply change the page with their brand name. So other named brands of the same looking product would probably be the exact same product. Just with a different name on the listing.

Upon opening the box you’ll find the following; 1x Keyboard, 1x USB Receiver, 1x Micro USB Cable, 1x English User Guide.

SZILBZ Mini Wireless Keyboard.

The keyboard measures 14.0cm x 9.0cm x 1.5cm and weighs 115G.

On the right-hand side you’ll see the volume up/down button and the power on/off switch. To the front is where you’ll find the Micro USB port, this is where you charge the device.

The supplied Micro USB cable measures 30.0cm, which is on the small size. But you can use any other generic Micro USB cable. To charge you’ll need to plug the USB end into a 5V DC power source. Charging takes around 2 hours to fully charge and is indicated by a Red LED light. Which will go out once charged. If the Red LED stars to blink whilst you’re using it, this indicates the battery is running low.

Using the Keyboard.

I’m going to trying out the SZILBZ Mini Wireless Keyboard on my Windows laptop (Currently running Windows 10) and also I’m going to see if it’ll work on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 smartphone (Via a USB-C/USB A Adapter).

Ensure you turn it on first using the power toggle switch, the screen will light up.

Using on Windows 10 Laptop:

Simply insert the USB wireless receiver into a USB port on the laptop. The keyboard instantly works but was trying instantly to download some software files onto my laptop. I then quickly cancelled them, as I didn’t know what was going to be installed. The keyboard still functions without requiring the files being downloaded.

Using on Android 9 Smartphone:

I’m using a USB-C Adaptor and it worked straight away. I was able to type out a SMS message on the keyboard. To send it though I had to switch the keyboard function from typing to mouse mode by pressing the mode switch button on the front. This enables the screen to become a touch-sensitive mouse pad,

I was surprised that it worked on my phone, and it was strange to see a mouse icon moving over the screen.

There’re loads to get used to, and it’ll take a while to get to know all the different functions, but so far it works great.

Conclusion.

The SZILBZ Mini Wireless Keyboard is great. I thought I wouldn’t like it as it looks very generic, but it does in fact work well. I was able to use the keyboard on both my laptop and smartphone, which was great. I’m not sure if it’s the receiver or my laptop that called that software download action. You’ll have to cancel it like me. Don’t worry though as it still works without downloading anything.

The supplied Micro USB charging cable is very small, and I’d suggest you use a longer one if possible.
