Today I’ll be writing a review for the Bar Originale Train Decanter. I have previously reviewed a few decanters for the Original Products brand. Today’s offering is this cool looking train in a bottle decanter, you even get a wooden stand too.
The Bar Originale Train Decanter is made from 100% Borosilicate Glass and holds approximately 750ml of your chosen drink. Suitable for whiskey, brandy or similar spirits, your choice really.
The train is inspired by a 1930’s Mallard, ideal for train enthusiasts and not only a visually striking item, but a talking piece too.
But is this decanter any good? Time to test it out!
Packaging and Contents.
The Bar Originale Train Decanter comes packaged in a black cardboard box which shows product images printed on it. The box measures 32.5cm x 19.5cm x 14.0cm and weighs 817G.
Inside the box you’ll find the following: 1x Decanter, 1x Wooden Stand, and 1x Glass Stopper.
You also get a cork stopper too. This stopper is for display purposes only, use the supplied glass stopper when using the decanter.
Bar Originale Train Decanter.
The Bar Originale Train Decanter measures 27.5cm in length (with stopper too) and has a 9.0cm diameter and weighs 433G (again, with stopper attached). The included stand is made from wood and measures 18.2cm in length x 8.2cm in depth, has a height of 4.3cm and weighs 105G.
The stopper area features a generous 19.0mm filling/pouring top, you’ll probably need some funnel, but it’ll be a standard type that you’ll find in any kitchen, unlike the Racing Car decanter, which had a small filling area and Original Products supplied a special funnel.
The supplied glass stopper measures 50.5mm and features a 5-ringed rubber bung to provide a complete leak-proof design which prevents your spirit from escaping, either in liquid or being evaporated.
The train design in fantastic and perfectly moulded inside the glass bottle.

Conclusion.
I’m very impressed with the Bar Originale Train Decanter. A very high quality piece with perfect detail and a brilliant wooden stand too. I can’t find any imperfections.
