Today I’ll be writing a review for the Bar Originale Dual Wrap, a wraparound jacket that chills or heats your wine. Bar Originale is trading name of under the Original Products umbrella and produce a numerous range of drinkware accessories.

The unique Velcro fastener easily wraps around a standard bottle of wine, providing either a chilled or heated use. To chill you need to pop the Dual Wrap into the freezer, for warmth, pop it in the microwave.

The Bar Originale Dual Wrap features 4 separate chambers. inside each chamber a special gel that is still flexible at temperatures of -21°C.

So, is the Bar Originale Dual Wrap any good? Time to test it out!

Packaging and Contents.

The Bar Originale Dual Wrap comes packaged in a black box which shows product images and specifications printed on it. The box measures 27.0cm x 15.0cm x 4.5cm and weighs 600G.

Bar Originale Dual Wrap.

The Bar Originale Dual Wrap measures 22.0cm in height and has a diameter of around 12.0cm, the jacket can fit around most bottle upto 1 Litre in size. The version I have is black in colour, but Original Products also do it in burgundy too.

I decided to test out both the chilled and warming feature. I popped the Bar Originale Dual Wrap into my freezer, a couple of hours later, I was good to go. Simply undo the Velcro and wrap around a bottle. The chilling effect lasts around an hour, in which time your bottle is nicely chilled.

Each of the four chambers ensure a constant contact with your bottle. Also noticed there was no condensation dripping from the wrap too.

To use the warming feature, pop the Dual Wrap into your microwave for around 60-90 seconds, it’s probably sensible to start at 60 seconds and gradually increase 10 seconds at a time. The outer Neoprene material will remain cool to the touch, but the internal gel in the wrap will be warm.

Conclusion.

I really like the Bar Originale Dual Wrap. It’s simple to use, works, so what more do you want? I was certainly impressed with the lack of condensation whilst in chilled mode, very impressive.
