Today I’ll be reviewing the Ronxs Arc Lighter. This rechargeable lighter is perfect for lighting candles and is wind and weather resistant.
You get an LED battery indicator, and over 500 ignitions on a single 2-hour charge too!
The neck of the lighter is flexible and is well equipped to get into the body of a candle and ignite the wick in next to no time.
But is this lighter any good? How easy is it to use? Time to test it out!
Packaging and Contents.
The Ronxs Arc Lighter comes packaged in a Black cardboard box which has the usage guide printed on the reverse, the box measures 26.5cm x 5.5cm x 3.0cm and weighs 120G.
Inside the box you get; 1x Lighter, 1x Micro USB Cable.
Ronxs Arc Lighter.
The Ronxs Arc Lighter is Black in colour (Other colours are available, including Silver and Red) and is made from metal. The total length of the lighter measures 25.2cm and has a diameter of around 1.9cm and weighs just 50G.
You get a 10.0cm flexible neck too, this neck can also rotate 360° and is designed to get into candle holders with ease.
The main handle section features an on/off power switch and a safety switch. You’ll need to ensure this switch is in the on position and then press the power button to use the lighter. When you use the lighter the LED power lights indicate the remaining battery level.
Charging and Using.
To charge you need to use the supplied Micro USB (Which has a length of 20.0cm) and you need to insert one end into the bottom of the lighter and the other into any 5V DC power USB source. You can use just about anything around your home to charge it. You can even use a standard Android mobile phone charger and get the use if a longer charging cable if you prefer.
The Ronxs Arc Lighter requires around 2 hours to full charge the in-built rechargeable battery. According to Ronxs this single charge will work for 500 ignitions, but I’m not sure how that’s measured as it would depend on the timescale of using a single ignition.
I found I was able to light a single candle each night for 3 weeks on a single charge, and each ignition lasting around 5 seconds. Maybe that’s some use to you? After 7 seconds of continuous use the lighter turns off for your protection.
To use you need to slide the safety switch to the on position and press the top power button to ignite the end. You’ll hear a high voltage electrical current whilst in use. This noise is perfectly normal and is how the lighter works.
It’s cool looking too, and surprisingly it works very well. It takes a little longer to light a wick over a traditional Butane lighter and takes a little practice to get the angle just right. I found it’s best to light the wick half way down rather than the top for quicker results.

Conclusion.
I really like the Ronxs Arc Lighter. It works very well and replaces my old Butane lighter. I like the fact the Ronxs lighter is rechargeable and I don’t have to keep buying Butane cans to refill my old lighter. This lighter has totally replaced my old lighter.
Ronxs could’ve been a little more generous when it comes to supplying a power cable as a 20.0cm cable is ridiculous.
And looking through the Amazon reviews many other people seem to be very happy with this lighter too.
If you want the Ronxs Arc Lighter for yourself, it’s available for purchase only on Amazon. The RRP for this product is £14.99.
