LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod

Today I’m reviewing the LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod. This portable and lightweight tripod can easily be used for smartphones, digital cameras and video camcorders.

When not in use the tripod quickly folds away using the telescopic mechanism and can be stored easily.

LINKCOOL have supplied a smartphone adaptor, camera adaptor and a Bluetooth remote shutter too. A carry bag is also a nice touch.

Is this tripod any good? Is it sturdy? Time to test it out!

Packaging and Contents.

The LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod comes packaged in a Brown cardboard box which features product images and specifications printed on it. The box measures 36.0cm x 8.0cm x 8.0cm and weighs 475G.

Upon opening the box you’ll find the following items; 1x Tripod, 1x Smartphone Adaptor, 1x Camera Adaptor, 1x Bluetooth Remote Shutter, 1x Carry Bag.

LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod.

The LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod is made from both Aluminium and Plastic. Once folded it measures 36.0cm and can extend to a height of around 112.0cm, the tripod weighs only a mere 420G.

To extend the tripod legs you need to unclip the plastic clips located on each leg and to secure each leg you need to clamp the clips again. On the bottom you get rubber feet, which helps on smooth surfaces. The LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod also features a built-in spirit level, this is perfect for ensuring your device is perfectly level. The smartphone holder can hold most common phones including iPhone11/X MAX/XR/X/8/7/6S/6S Plus & Samsung S10/S9/S8/S8 Plus/S7/S7 Edge/S6/Note 7 and other smartphones.

You can also use the tripod for Nikon and Canon cameras, digital DSLR cameras, camcorders, digital cameras, binoculars, your GoPro and more.

You can even position the smartphone holder to pan downward, perfect for taking overhead photographic and video shots.

Bluetooth Remote Shutter.

The LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod comes with a Bluetooth Remote Shutter. It can be used for both iOS and Android device and allows you to remotely take images and start/end video recordings. To use you need to turn it on using the power switch located on the side, next pop over to your Bluetooth settings on your device and search and connect to ‘AB Shuuter3’. That’s it!

There’re two control buttons on the remote shutter. One for iOS devices and the other for Android devices. I’m testing using an Android device and both buttons seemed to work for me, which is strange, but don’t really matter too much. You can also attach a keyring to the shutter, especially if you’re prone to loosing important items. I found the remote shutter to be an excellent addition as it prevented me from shaking my device whilst in the tripod. Also, it means you can wireless start your video camera without leaving your seat, perfect for YouTube creators.

Conclusion.

I quite like the LINKCOOL ET-3110 Tripod. It’s very lightweight but also supports a smartphone easily. I’m not sure if I’d trust the tripod on more heavy, expensive photographic equipment. One thing that did happen to me was I did pinch my finger on the locking clamps, I soon learnt not to do that again!

A big positive is the fact that you can do overhead shots, a lot of tripods fail to pan directly overhead, but the LINKCOOL tripod achieves it with ease.

Overall, I’m happy with the tripod and would recommend it, especially if you’re after a cheap and cheerful tripod, its perfect for beginners.
