Packaging and Contents.

The Klarstein Kamini Fireplace comes packaged in a plain Brown cardboard box. The box measures 52.0cm x 30.0cm x 24.0cm and weighs 5.0KG.

Klarstein Kamini Fireplace.

The Klarstein Kamini fireplace is an artificial but realistic looking log burning fire. It is made from a mixture of materials including plastic, metal, and resin. The fireplace measures 45.0cm x 24.0cm x 18.0cm and weighs 3.2KG.

To set up and use the Klarstein Kamini fireplace you’ll need a Philips screwdriver and remove the two screws located at either side of the resin top and remove the top cover. Now insert the Halogen lamp into the lamp holder and put the top back on and re-tighten the screws.

Power Adapter.

You’ll notice the Klarstein Kamini has a EU/UK adapter plug fitted onto the main cable, this is to ensure that your fireplace meets BS1363-5 requirements. You can remove this adapter if you want to use the EU plug that is located within.

The cable supplied has a length of around 160cm.

The process behind the Klarstein Kamini fireplace in which makes it look like a real fire is a simple process using lighting and a synchronous motor. The light illuminates and the synchronous motor makes a guard wheel spin around the lamp creating a lamp flicker effect. Light passes through the gaps on the guard wheel.

The light being produced then filters through the resin top which is coloured Black on the outside but is Red on the inside and the result is a wonderful glowing fireplace effect.

You don’t get any actual heat from this fireplace as there is no heating element. You can be assured it’s safe to be installed anywhere within your home and safe around children and pets.

To turn it on or off use the toggle power switch on the back of the main base.

Conclusion.

I like the Klarstein Kamini fireplace. The lighting effect is nice but the noise from the synchronous motor can be a little annoying. I would also prefer a G9 LED lamp and reduce the power consumption from 45W to around 8W without losing any performance. Overall I recommend this fireplace and it’s perfect for creating warm mood lighting in your home.
