The AVHzY CT-2 USB Power Meter Load Tester is a two-part testing rig, the first part is the USB Meter which measures 7.5cm x 3.0cm x 0.5cm and has an LCD screen with a size of 3.0cm x 2.5cm. You get several different ports which are; USB-A In, USB-C In, USB-C Out, PC Input, Multi-Key Switch, PD Tester On/Off, and USB-A Out.
The second part is the USB Electronic Load, this measures 6.5cm x 3.0cm x 2.0cm and has a USB-A male plug end and features a potentiometer and a little DC brushless fan for heat displacement.
I’m new to the world of USB electronics, although I’m a qualified electrician the two aren’t the same and this is all new to me. But, I want to give it a go and I’m sure the AVHzY CT-2 will be a useful addition to my reviewer’s toolkit for future reviews and tests.
You also get a software package included with the CT-2, all you need to do is use a head over to http://forum.avhzy.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=1&extra=page%3D1 and extract the ZIP files. Once downloaded you’ll need to open the app called KotomApp.
Within this App you can change the display, upload a logo, and save screenshots of your collected data.
This is all going to take some weeks for me to learn how to work out how to do all of this, but I’m able to basically test for USB items and see basic information like voltage, amps, and watts.
There’s so much to the AVHzY CT-2 USB Power Meter Load Tester that you’ll be discovering new ways of measuring all the time. Another useful feature is the new USB-C plug testing option for those devices that use the USB-C leads. This is handy to test how good an advertised cable is.

The AVHzY CT-2 USB Power Meter Load Tester is a sophisticated piece of equipment. I’m just starting out learning the fields of electronics and the CT-2 will be a great addition for me, once I get the hang of it! The software looks a little daunting at first, but I suppose when you get used to it, it will be fine.
Overall though I’m enjoying my new hobby and the CT-2 is fantastic, I highly recommend it. I’m sure in my future reviews I’ll be able to test and report back in more detail about some companies advertised Volt/Amp/Watt readings.
If you want the AVHzY CT-2 USB Power Meter Load Tester for yourself, it’s available only on Amazon. The RRP for this USB tester is £80.00.
