Today I’ll be reviewing these YUSAM 56S Earphones. These in-ear hooked earphones are designed for active users as the hooked design is to prevent them from falling out when you’re exercising.
With a typical universal Bluetooth connection, in-line control and multiple ear tips these YUSAM 56S earphones are on the budget friendly end of the market.
The YUSAM 56S has a rechargeable battery that produces enough power to last 5 hours.
But are they any good? What do they sound like? Time to test them out!
Packaging.
The YUSAM 56S Earphones come packaged in a plain Brown outer cardboard box. The outer box measures 11.5cm x 11.5cm x 4.0cm and weighs 80G.
Contents.
Upon opening the box you’ll find the following; 1x Earphones, 3x Additional Pairs of Ear tips, 1x Mini USB Cable, 1x Wire Clip, 1x Chinese/English User Guide.
YUSAM also might want to consider changing their brand motto from ‘Free from bondage and freedom!’ to something a little more appropriate.
YUSAM 56S Earphones.
These earphones are Black in colour and are made from plastic materials, they feel cheap and not very sturdy. The length of the cable between each earphone is 61.0cm and the total weight is 20G.
You get an in-line control area that allows you to control track selection and volume. But, mine has been configured incorrectly!
The ‘Plus’ button is supposed to skip and track and when pressed and held increase volume. But mine skipped the track and turned down the volume.
Also, the ‘Minus’ is supposed to go back a track and when pressed and held turn down your volume. Mine went back a track but increased the volume.
This malfunction in the design basically renders the in-line control useless as it’s a pain to remember what button does what function.
The multi-function centre button works as it should, so that’s something I suppose.
Also, on the other side of the in-line control is where you’ll see the Micro USB charging port. Charging can be done via any 5V DC power source and takes around 2 hours for 5 hours of continuous use. The Micro USB cable has a length of 30.0cm.
Setting up and Using the Earphones.
Once charged you’ll need to pair these YUSAM 56S earphones to your Bluetooth enabled device. They’ll work with any device including tablets and laptops (As long as they have Bluetooth).
Power on the earphones by pressing and holding the middle multi-function button, now perform a search on your device and look for ’56S’ and pair with that code.
That’s it, you’re all good to go!
The Bluetooth range is around 10M but when I tested that out, I was able to go a further 5M with no signal drop.
The earhooks are made from hard plastic and aren’t very flexible at all. I also wear glasses, so the hooks get in the way of the arm of my glasses. Because I can’t fit them very good, they keep falling out!
Also, the angle of the earbud is in such a way that it makes the YUSAM 56S uncomfortable and after only 10 minutes they start to hurt. YUSAM have designed some sort of torture device for my ears. Everything feels cheap, tacky and inflexible, which makes them uncomfortable.
The cable between the two earphone keeps curling up and starts to piss you off within a matter of minutes. The in-lie control sits too high on one side of the cable and keeps swinging into my jawline, again pissing me off!
Sound Quality.
At this point you’d be hoping for some positives, sorry to disappoint. The sound quality is basic and typical of pound shop quality. The sound is OK especially if you don’t like music, but audio lovers will hate the tinny, lack of bass tones of these earphones.
Noise Isolation and Cancellation are non-existent.
Sound distortion is also very apparent at medium volume.
You get handsfree calling with the YUSAM 56S earphones which works very well. The microphone is OK, and the call receiver can hear you quite clearly. So at least you’ll be able to call for help whilst wearing your torture devices.
Remember the YUSAM slogan ‘Free from bondage and freedom!’ I’ve figured out what they now mean. These earphones might well be free from bondage, but certainly not free from torture.

Conclusion.
The YUSAM 56S Earphones are terrible. They’re an uncomfortable, cheap, and generally awful pair of wireless earphones.
Some positives are the handsfree calling feature and the Bluetooth signal. And…that’s about it.
I didn’t even get a correct in-line user control section!
Overall, I don’t like these earphones, I certainly wouldn’t recommend them, not even to my enemies! Well maybe just one or two of them…
