Today I’ll be writing a review for the Yonars Electric Foot Massager. I have previously reviewed a couple of products from Yonars before, but never an electric foot massager. So this is something different for the website today.
The Yonars Electric Foot Massager is a mat with a rechargeable controller, you also get a rechargeable remote control too. You get 10 different modes, each has an intensity range from 1-20 which you can choose. You also get three different heat settings too.
Yonars state on their Amazon page that the massager provides soft pulse deep relaxation with powerful effects of relieving pain quickly and slowing down physical and mental fatigue. The massager uses EMS pulse technology, which quickly adjusts body state, helping exercise muscles and relax leg muscles, safe and secure.
But is this massager any good? Time to test it out!
Packaging and Contents.
The Yonars Electric Foot Massager comes packaged in a white cardboard box which doesn’t show product images printed on it. The box measures 31.0cm x 15.5cm x 5.0cm and weighs 489G.
Inside the box you’ll find the following: 1x Foot Pad, 1x Controller, 1x Remote Control, 1x USB-A/Micro USB (which measures 30.0cm in length), 1x Cleaning Cloth, 1x Spray Bottle, 1x English User Guide, and weirdly, a set of instructions for a EMS smart belt.
Yonars Electric Foot Massager.
The Yonars Electric Foot Massager pad measures 30.0cm x 30.0cm and has a PU leather outer coating. The rechargeable controller measures 6.0cm x 6.0cm x 1.5cm and features 4 metallic contact pins on the back, these pins are pushed into the pad contact area. The mat does fold in half for easy storage and transportation.
I found the contacts on the controller and the massage pad didn’t align correctly, which meant one of the four contacts wasn’t connecting. I had to force it in alignment, then it worked. You’ll need to charge both the controller and the remote control prior to use.
Yonars only supply one Micro USB cable, a double Micro USB to a single USB-A cable would’ve been ideal, then you could charge both at the same time. Charging of the controller takes around 40-60 minutes, a charging indicator light shows the device is charging, when complete the light goes out.
You can control the foot massage via both the controller directly, or via the remote control. I found the remote control to be temperamental, even when charged it decides to stop working and then randomly decides to work again.
Using the Foot Massager.
Once the controller and massage pad are connected together, you’ll need to turn on the controller. There is a power on/off button located on the top area of the controller. Simply press it.
Next you can choose to use the heat setting mode. You can choose from a low, medium, high setting, which is indicated by green, amber and red lights on the controller. Yonars state a ‘rapid’ heat up time of 5 seconds, I don’t know what Yonars are smoking, but it’s more like 5 minutes, and that’s being generous. As for the temperature, it’s noticeable on the highest heat setting, not enough to heat up your feet, but enough to be slightly warmed up.
Modes.
The main function of the Yonars Electric Foot Massager is the pulse technology. You get 10 different modes. Hammer, Massage, Training, Kneading, Moulding, Squeeze, Clapping, Acupuncture and Comprehensive modes.
The modes basically pulse in different patterns, like small electric shocks. You can choose from 20 different intensity modes too, so choose the massage mode, then increase/decrease the intensity. I will warn you though that I found anything near 7 to be uncomfortable, so on a scale on 1-20 I would say anything from 1-10 to massage mode, and anything 10-20 is torture mode.
When you remove your feet from the mat, it goes into an off state. The mat works automatically for 20 minutes before turning off too. The instruction manual recommends 15 minutes worth of use at a time, so why have a 20 minutes automatic shut off? Shouldn’t it be 15 minutes?
Another strange thing, the Yonars Electric Foot Massager only works on me. My 13 year old daughter wanted to try it out, and despite increasing the intensity up, she couldn’t feel the pulses. But she sure did when she put her hand on the mat ?
It didn’t work when she put her feet on the mat, strange!
For me, it felt strange to use, perhaps I’m a bit over-sensitive and to be honest, I found the massage mat uncomfortable to use. I didn’t feel I was being massaged, felt more like getting pins and needles for 20 minutes.

Conclusion.
The Yonars Electric Foot Massager isn’t for me I’m afraid. I found it uncomfortable. So many oddities with the whole product too. For example, why send a user guide for a smart belt? Why have a automatic shut off at 20-minutes when it’s recommend for 15-minutes use? Why didn’t it work on my daughter? Why is the remote control crap? Why are Yonars confusing 5-minutes with a 5-seconds heating time. Why am I still writing this review?
