Today I’m writing a review for the UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W USB C Charger. I have reviewed a few items now for UGREEN, which if you’re interested, you can have a read of the reviews.
Today’s offering is another new release from UGREEN and forms part of UGREEN’s new Nexode Pro charger range. In fact I have two chargers to review, this 160W version and another 100W, which I’ll be reviewing a couple of weeks later.
The UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W USB C Charger features 4 charging ports. You get 3x USB-C and 1x USB-A charging ports. Supporting super fast charging at a rate of 140W (based on single device charging on port number one), this ensures a 16″ MacBook Pro can charge from 0%-50% in around 27 minutes.
You get UGREEN’s latest Intelligent GaNInfinity Chip, this chip brings you a faster and more powerful charging experience. You also get fantastic efficiency, with less heat generation in a small and lightweight design.
So, is the UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W USB C Charger any good? Time to test it out!
Packaging and Contents.
The UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W USB C Charger comes packaged in a white sleeved box which shows product images and specifications printed on it. The box measures 13.3cm x 10.0cm x 5.5cm and weighs 451G.
Inside the box you’ll find the following: 1x UK Charger (other regional variations available), 1x English User Guide.
UGREEN doesn’t supply any cables, but I would highly recommend a UGREEN USB-C/USB-C cable, in fact I have a few and can’t rate them highly enough.
UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W USB C Charger.
The UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W USB C Charger measures 106.8mm x 49.6mm x 70.0mm, when plugged in a UK socket the charger measures 84.0mm x 33.0mm x 70.0mm. The charger weighs 326G and certainly feels heavy, but well-built. Certainly doesn’t feel cheap.
You get 4 ports (3x USB-C ports and 1x USB-A port) on the charger. Each one has a different power output and each changes if you’re using more than device. The below slideshow will hopefully explain better the output of each port.
Below you’ll see the output ratings for each port:

- USB-C (number 3) Output: 5.0V ⎓ 3.0A, 9.0V ⎓ 3.0A, 12.0V ⎓ 2.5A 30.0W Max
- USB-A Output: 5.0V ⎓ 3.0A, 9.0V ⎓ 2.0A, 12.0V ⎓ 1.5A, 10.0V ⎓ 2.235A 22.5 W Max.
- Total Output Power: 160.0W Max.
As you can see, the more you plug in, the power output decreases. If you’re unsure which port is best for the device you’re using, then UGREEN has you covered.

Conclusion.
I’m really impressed with the UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W USB C Charger, this latest generation of charger from UGREEN not only protects more of your devices, but also ensures an efficient charge too. Most new devices are now using USB-C ports, so to have a multi-charger with USB-C ports is a must have.
