Today I’ll be writing a review for the FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset. FIFINE recently approached me and enquired about a review and suggested this set of H9 gaming headphones. Of course, I jumped at the chance, even had a choice of colour too!
The FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset can be used for all PC, gaming consoles and mobile gaming systems. You get a 50mm dynamic driver, 7.1 surround sound, an omnidirectional microphone, all in a lightweight and comfortable headset.
So, are they any good? Time to test them out!
Packaging and Contents.
The FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset comes packaged in a blue sleeved box which shows product images and specifications printed on it. The box measures 21.0cm x 17.5cm x 9.3cm and weighs 501G.
Inside the box you’ll find the following: 1x Gaming Headset, 1x Detachable Microphone, 1x Detachable USB Cable, 1x English User Guide.
If you’re planning on using the FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset for mobile gaming use and your device doesn’t have a 3.5mm port, you’ll need to purchase an adapter. You’ll need either a USB-C/3.5mm or a Lightning/3.5mm adapter depending on your device. I highly recommend UGREEN for cables and adapters. It’s what I use, I find you get no audio loss if you touch the adapter, unlike other cheaper alternatives where you experience a sound delay if touched or rocked slightly in your phone port.
FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset.
The FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset measures (from end of ear cup to the other end of ear cup) 57.0cm, but can extend a further 10.0cm for those with big heads. As mentioned above I ordered the H9’s in white, but you can also select both Black and Pink too. All colour options feature a cute smiling face on each ear cup. The FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset weighs 325G (with microphone attached).
Each ear cup is heavily padded with memory type foam, they make a nice seal around your ears, without uncomfortably pressing into your skull, like some other branded gaming headsets do. FIFINE have designed the H9 to be comfortable for prolonged use. Each ear cup measures 100mm x 76mmx 51mm, internally, each ear cup measures 60mm x 38mm, perfect to cover your ears completely. Each ear cup swivels roughly 20° to suit all head shapes and provide comfort.
The headband is padded too, with 18mm of memory foam padding.
Cable.
One of the biggest selling points to the FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset is the braided detachable cable. You get a total length of 306cm with both sections attached. The 3.5mm TRRS (Tip Ring Ring Sleeve) plug section measures 104cm, and the USB-A section adds another 202cm to the length.
I don’t own a gaming console, so mostly mobile games with the occasional PC game played. So, I was impressed that FIFINE had thought about mobile gamer too with the idea of a detachable cable to suit my use. The downside to that is you can’t utilise the inline USB control box. Although with a USB-C-USB-A adapter I was able to make use of the control box.
You get a few buttons on the control box. You’re able to control both audio and microphone volume and there’s a microphone mute switch located on the left hand side too. In the middle you’ll see the 7.1 button. This is the surround sound switch, press it and it’ll light up red to show surround sound is active, press it again to turn this feature off. I found this amplified my gaming experience on my favourite game, New State Mobile.
On the back of the control box you get a clip too, helps you to locate the volume controls whilst in battle mode.
The omnidirectional microphone measures 13.5cm in length and can bend in any direction. You get -42±3dB sensitivity.

Conclusion.
I’m really impressed with the FIFINE H9 Gaming Headset. I’ve been using them for several hours each day and found them both comfortable and an audio listening pleasure. Audio is clear, crisp and with the additional 7.1 surround sound feature, my audio is enhanced further. The ear cups provide adequate noise cancellation and isolation. Another thing I noticed was the lack of heat when using the headset. I hate hot ears, but I wouldn’t say the H9’s make my ears hot, maybe warm, but certainly not uncomfortable.
The removable microphone is clear too, no crackles at all, you’re clearly heard.
For me, as a mobile gamer I would like to see the control box section included on the first 3.5mm section of cable, but as I mentioned, there’s ways around that with adapters.
