Today I’ll be writing a review for the Bar Bespoke Shoe Glass. If you’re a Formula 1 fan you’ll know exactly what this glass is about. I can’t actually name the celebration as Liberty Media have the word trademarked, I don’t fancy a lawsuit thanks, so you’ll just have to know what I mean for today’s review.
The glass is shaped like a trainer, and can hold 450 ml of liquid, so, ideal for a whole bottle of beer. Made with borosilicate glass, so it’s tough and able to handle temperature changes without any issues.
It’s certainly a fun, quirky item and any F1 fan would be happy to receive this glass.
But is the glass any good? Time to test it out!
Packaging and Contents.
The Bar Bespoke Shoe Glass comes packaged in a cardboard box which shows product images and specifications printed on it. The box measures 23.0cm x 11.0cm x 11.5cm and weighs 498G.
Inside the box you’ll find your glass, all neatly packaged to ensure you glass arrives in one piece.

The Bar Bespoke Shoe Glass measures 20.0cm x 7.5cm x 8.5cm and weighs 348G. The mouthpiece area measures 5.5cm x 4.6cm. The thing you’ll notice first is the detail, the glass has texture, especially on the underside, with a generic trainer pattern imprint.
For the review I had to test with a couple of bottles of beer (just to make sure the glass works ?) and was surprised that a whole bottle of beer fills the glass, but it’s literally to the top of the glass, so makes it difficult to pick the glass up initially, so you’ll need to sip on the glass on a table.
The first 1/3 of the beer is also slightly awkward to drink too. Tipping the shoe glass upward without spilling all over yourself takes some practice, plus you’ll experience a tidal effect when placing the glass back down. The biggest surprise was the stability of the glass. with such a big footprint (pun intended) it’s almost impossible to knock over the glass.
But practicability aside, the Bar Bespoke Shoe Glass hasn’t been designed for everyday use, it’s a novelty item. A novelty item which can be used if required, it’s certainly more of a statement piece and an instantly recognisable object to any F1 fan.

Conclusion.
I like the Bar Bespoke Shoe Glass. Yes, it’s a novelty item, but also can be used as a drinking vessel too. You’ll certainly have a talking piece if you own this glass. Without going into too much detail, any F1 fan will also appreciate the glass, and almost know instantly what the glass is all about.
Would I recommend the Bar Bespoke Shoe Glass? Yes, I would, it’s fun and a great gift idea.
