Agasound AgaOne IEMs

Welcome to 2025! This is my first review of the year, and today I’ll be focusing on the Agasound AgaOne IEMs.

This also marks my first encounter with the Agasound brand, so let’s begin with a brief introduction.

Agasound, is a trading name of Guangzhou Aga Audio Technology Co. Ltd., is a high-end professional audio company.

Their operations encompass research and development, production, distribution, sales, engineering, and after-sales service.

Based in Guangzhou, their offices benefit from a pleasant environment and excellent transport links.

With over 20 years of experience, a customer base exceeding 50,000, and over a million units manufactured, Agasound has a wealth of experience in the audio industry.

Their primary focus has been on high-quality loudspeakers, making the AgaOne one of only two earphone models they currently produce.

But what about the AgaSound IEMs? What do they sound like? Time to review them!

Packaging and Contents.

The Agasound AgaOne IEMs comes packaged in a beautiful looking white cardboard sleeved box, the box shows product images with printed specifications.

The box measures 10.5cm x 8.5cm x 4.5cm and weighs 123G.

Here's the alt text for the attached image of the Agasound AgaOne IEMs packaging: "A white rectangular box with the Agasound logo and the text 'Agasound AgaOne' printed on it. The logo features a stylized '4' with the words 'Attention to Thoughts And Detail Top to Bottom' surrounding it in a circular pattern. The brand 'Agasound' is printed vertically on the side of the box."

Inside the box you’ll find the following: 1x Pair of IEMs, 7x Pairs of Silicone Ear-Tips, 1x Cable, 1x English/Chinese User Guide.

Agasound has thoughtfully included seven pairs of silicone ear tips in various sizes and shapes, ensuring a good fit for most users.

However, the tips themselves are fairly basic and seem prone to attracting dust and earwax, which can be a nuisance.

The 120cm cable is made from high-purity oxygen-free copper and has a stylish twisted metallic appearance.

Unfortunately, it tends to tangle easily. It terminates in a 3.5mm gold-plated TRS (Tip-Ring-Sleeve) jack and uses universal 0.75mm connectors.

Agasound AgaOne IEMs.

Each Agasound AgaOne IEM measures approximately 19.5mm x 17.8mm x 22.3mm and weighs just 4G.

They certainly feel very light, this is all thanks to the plastic shell coating.

On the right, the IEM is shown from the back, displaying its black housing with a clear plastic connector at the top and a small hole likely for pressure relief or sound tuning.

Although not the highest quality in terms of materials used, the Agasound AgaOne IEMs look very aesthetically pleasing with angled gunmetal colour alongside black, a classic colour combination.

There is a small hole on the faceplate, likely for sound tuning or pressure relief, and a gold connector at the top. The brand name 'Agasound' is partially visible on the black housing below the faceplate.

They sit comfortably in the ear and the angled design prevents fatigue during extended use.

However, they protrude slightly (by about 2-3mm), which is a shame, as a more flush fit would make them more suitable for wearing with hats.

Sound Quality.

The sound quality of the AgaOne IEMs is, frankly, unremarkable.

The bass is subdued, which, while a matter of personal preference, may not appeal to all listeners.

Vocals are clear, which is a positive, but overall the sound is average at best.

The earpiece nozzle is visible, designed for inserting ear tips. The cable is braided with a silver and black pattern, connecting to the IEM via a black connector.

Both sound isolation and noise cancellation are below average. Even with different ear tips, sound leakage is noticeable, and external noise is not effectively blocked.

Considering the price point of around $40 (USD), the audio quality is disappointing. I have reviewed better-sounding IEMs in the $10 (USD) price range.

Conclusion.

The Agasound AgaOne IEMs offer a visually appealing design and a comfortable fit for extended listening sessions.

However, their sonic performance fails to impress.

The subdued bass, coupled with below-average sound isolation and noise cancellation, results in a less-than-satisfying listening experience.

The cable’s tendency to tangle is also a minor annoyance.

Considering the $40 (USD) price tag, the AgaOne IEMs struggle to justify their cost, especially when compared to other IEMs offering superior audio quality at lower price points.

Ultimately, while not entirely without merit, the AgaOne IEMs fall short of expectations.
