Today is a special day. I’m writing a review for the TINHIFI C0 Elf IEMs. I’ve been looking forward to trying out a pair of TINHIFI In Ear Monitors (IEM) for a while. From what I’ve seen, TINHIFI has a dedicated following within the audio world, so I was excited to be sent a pair.
TINHIFI sent me a pair of their C0 Elf IEMs, with their 2-pin connector cable (non-mic version) which features a tangle-free design.
You get a professional tuned IEM, which allows for better audio transmission, and thus reduces unnecessary noise and distortion. You get a high quality aluminium body, and a titanium composite diaphragm.
So what are they like? Time to test them out!
Packaging and Contents.
The TINHIFI C0 Elf IEMs come packaged in a cardboard box, which shows logo images and specifications printed on it. The box measures 9.0cm x 9.0cm x 3.2cm and weighs 75G.
Inside the box you’ll receive the following: 1x Pair of IEM’s, 1x 2-Pin Connector Cable, 6x Pairs of Silicone Ear-Tips, 1x Pair of Silicone Wing-Tips, 1x Multi-Lingual Warranty Card.
The supplied cable is a standard 2-pin 0.78MM cable and measures 1.3M in length. You get a Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE) outer coating and with a oxygen-free 4N copper cable that ensures perfect audio, all without distortion.
You get a little blue dot on both each IEM and on each pin of the cable, so you can ensure correct connectivity every time.
You also get supplied with a pair of silicone ear-wings too. Although I preferred to not use them, but preference and all that I guess. If you’d like to use them, they simply slide on the cable.
The Ear-Wings measure 48.2mm in length, and feature a slit along the length of the wing.
TINHIFI C0 Elf IEMs.
Each TINHIFI C0 Elf IEM measures 22.7mm x 10.8mm and weighs just 4.1G each. TINHIFI supply a total of 6 pairs of ear-tips too, so you’ll be sure to find a fit that’s perfect for you.
The pair I have are finished in a gun metal grey, TINHIFI also sent the non-mic version of the cable, but you can choose a mic. TINHIFI even have a digital-to-analogue converter (DAC) chipped cable for both iOS and Android users with either a lightning or USB-C plug. But, for me I have the standard Tip Ring Sleeve (TRS) 3.5mm gold-plated plug.
Sound Quality.
I’ve been wearing the TINHIFI C0 Elf IEMs for a few hours each day, for a couple of weeks now, they’re incredibly comfortable and with no ear fatigue. How do they sound? Absolutely brilliant! That’s the short answer.
I was impressed with both the bass and vocal quality, very clear, precise, and a pleasure to use for prolonged periods of time.
Noise isolation is above average too, minimal leakage, thanks to both the CNC machined design of each IEM and the huge selection of silicone ear-tips that means you get a closed listening experience. Noise cancellation is also good too, background noises are minimal, which means more audio enjoyment, without distraction.
Another good point is the lack of distortion. Even if the volume increased, there was no distortion at all. Still vocally clear.
Overall, they’re a brilliant sounding pair of IEM’s, can’t fault them at all.
