Here at Creations by Calypso, it's a team of one. I am creator, writer, editor and photographer. But I am also 'mum' to our 2 young kids, and food slave to our 4 cats. And although the cat may claim overwise, she is not my supervisor.
Me, my partner and children happily live beside New Brighton beach which is a huge inspiration for some of my work and also our branding.
In 2021, I finally took the plunge to believe in myself and my talents and decided to open Creations by Calypso, a small shop where I could sell my handmade crafts. Crafting has always been a huge part of my life, and I was taught to Crochet and Knit at only 11 years old.
I believe there is something magical about receiving a handmade gift as it is adds a personal touch and there is love placed in every stitch.
With this in mind, I try to create unique pieces that could put a smile on somebody else's face. I'm always looking for new and creative ways to make sure that every gifts I create is special in its own way.

I bought the cutest crocheted cacti for my newly decorated bathroom. Calypso lets you choose the colour of the flower on the top of the cactus, so I chose a colour to match the paintwork. I absolutely love it and the bonus is, there is no need to water it.
