Today I’m doing something a little different, I’m writing about Plays.org. What is this I hear you say? Plays.org is a free gaming website. Yes, that’s right…Free gaming website.

The website is packed full of web browser enabled games, no fancy apps, no using up your mobile phone memory, and best of all, no money is required to progress on the games. All the games are free and are full length too, ideal for kids and adults alike.

You can play via your desktop or via a tablet or mobile phone too. Interestingly Plays.org uses the WordPress platform. Games are built as lightweight JavaScript web applications.

The website has only been operational since January 2021. You’ll be shocked to hear the Plays.org website doesn’t have endless adverts or tracking software either. It’s purely been built to serve one purpose, provide games to avid gamers.

In recent years, many gaming companies have gone public with valuations in the 10s of billions of dollars including Roblox, Unity and Applovin.

This site aims to be pretty much the opposite of those sorts of trends.

  • no status symbols or paid upgrades.
  • super simple games which are a chance for fun, but do not aim to alter your identity or establish addictive loops.
  • casual games you can dip in and out of, many of which you can beat quickly.
  • no need to download apps to play.
  • no need to register or set up a user account.

Categories include Arcade, Cartoon, Education, Sports, Strategy, Retro 8-bit, Simulation, and tons more. You’re free to play as often as you like too, no limits!

Play.org Games.

Plays.org has some fantastic games already available. The website owners are constantly adding new games all the time too, it’s a website which is growing daily. Some titles include Pinball, Mr. Bean, Mah-jong, Star Wars, Tetris, LEGO and many, many more!

I’ll add a slideshow below of some of my favourite games on the Plays.org website.

You do need to wait around 30-60 seconds for each game to load, but after you have played a game, it should stay cached in your web browser for a period making subsequent plays much faster.

I found some games didn’t work so well on my Android phone, the web browser causes some issues with the screen and playing a game. For instance, I was playing Cannons and Soldiers, every time I lined up a shot with the Cannon my screen would scroll downward, I wasn’t able to pop out my browser screen for that game to stop it from happening.

Most games enable full screen gameplay on a mobile application web browser. You just need to wait until they’ve fully loaded. Every game page has a contact/feedback form on it. Plays.org will use this area to assist if you discover any bugs or other glitches.

Stuck what game to play as there’s too much choice? Plays.org have a random game play option, sorted!

Conclusion.

I’m hooked on the Plays.org website. There’s so much choice and I love the ethos of free gaming, no top-ups, no demos, just full, free gaming.

The site is continually growing all the time. There’s always something new to play. Plays.org is ideal for any parents too, games can’t be charged to your credit cards, plus there’s plenty of educational games too.

I love the domain owner’s way of thinking of providing free games, for the shear enjoyment, not profit. About time we had more websites like Plays.org.

I can see Plays.org really taking off and more people switching to their way of thinking.

Pop over to the Plays.org website and see for yourself.
