Vine Rituals Illumio+

The Vine Rituals Illumio+ is a sound activated wearable Silicon bracelet which responds to sound by emitting a bright and dynamic LED light.

You get a hard-wearing plastic cover and comfortable flexible silicone band which makes it easy to slip on and off without the inconvenience of a clasp.

Packaging.

The Vine Rituals Illumio+ comes packaged in a clear plastic bag with a company label printed on it.  The bag measures 15.5cm x 16.0cm and weighs 70G.

Contents.

Upon opening the Vine Rituals Illumio+ bag you will find the following items. 1x Red Bracelet, 1x Green Bracelet, 1x Orange Bracelet, and 1x Yellow Bracelet.

Vine Rituals Illumio+.

The Vine Rituals Illumio+ is made from Silicon and Plastic.  Each one has a circumference measurement of 18.0cm but the band does stretch to accommodate larger wrists.  The plastic part of the bracelet measures 2.0cm in width and the bracelet weighs 16G.

There is an on/off toggle switch located on the side which power on your bracelet.

On the front there is the Vine Rituals logo and on the silicone band Illumio+ is printed on one side and the other features a QR code which directs you to the Amazon product page.  Vine Rituals can custom print these bracelets for you, these would be great for corporate clients or special events.

Battery.

Each bracelet comes fitted with 2x CR2016 3V Button Cell Batteries which should give you around 4-8 hours’ worth of continuous use, but if you need to replace the battery it can be quite difficult.  To start you’ll need a small cross head screwdriver and you’ll need to undo the two screws on the back.

Now, be careful as the bracelet literally starts to fall apart! carefully remove the outer cover on the back and the silicone band can come away, you’ll now need to remove the printed circuit board and just make sure you keep an eye open for the toggle switch as it falls out.  When you have hold of the circuit board you’ll need to slide the two batteries out and replace them.

To re-assemble follow the same steps but in reverse order.

You’ll also see the printed circuit board only has a few components, these components are a Mini Electret Microphone, 2x LED Surface Mounts, Surface Mounts Resistors, a Surface Mount Capacitor, 2x Surface Mount Control Chips, and the On/Off Toggle Switch.

Using the Bracelet.

Using the Vine Rituals Illumio+ is simple, and I’m sure you’ve already figured this out at this stage.  But, just in case you haven’t you need to put the bracelet onto your wrist and slide the toggle switch to the on position, and that’s it! Your bracelet will now start to detect sound and the LED lights will flash to the sound vibration being picked up.

Now, all you need to do is get dancing (Or in my case flapping my arms about) to some cracking tunes.

Do you want to go crazy on the dancefloor? try wearing all 4 bands and watch the LED lights flash in different patterns.

Conclusion.

I really like these bracelets from Vine Rituals, they’re bright, and the LED lights do flash in time with the music.  One thing though, you better hope you don’t have to change the batteries as this can be a frustrating task, especially putting it back together again.
