First review for 2020 is for the Symphonized Blast Headphones. This brand is quickly building a large social media fan base. I’m also a fan too! I love the previous products that I’ve reviewed for Symphonized. So, I’m super-excited for these cool looking headphones.

These headphones feature a 4.1 Bluetooth connection which has a strong 10M signal range. They’re also foldable and fully adjustable too.

A classic colour combination of Red and Black ensure that they’re suitable for everyday wear and will work with any choice of wardrobe choice.

Aside from being good looking, are they any good? What is the sound like? Time to fully test them out!

Packaging and Contents.

The Symphonized Blast Headphones are Red and Black and made from mostly plastic materials. They measure (From the bottom of one ear cup, over the band to the bottom of the other ear cup) 53.0cm and can extend further to 60.0cm. They weigh 295G.

Each earcup is heavily padded with PU Leather and each cup measures 10.5cm x 8.0cm x 2.0cm. The inner hole area measures 6.0cm x 4.0cm, perfect for most ear shapes to fit snuggly into this area.

On the Right earcup you’ll see the user controls, I’ll explain this in more detail below.

Charging.

The Symphonized Blast Headphones are wireless and so require a charge before you use them. The built-in battery takes around 2 hours to fully charge. Once charged you’ll be able to use these headphones for around 22 hours, which is longer than most of Symphonized competitor brands on the market.

The supplied Micro USB cable measures 50.0cm in length. But you’re able to use any Micro USB cable to charge these headphones, this is great if you require a longer charging cable. The other standard USB end needs to be plugged into any 5V DC power source. You can use a USB adapter, a USB port on your laptop or another USB port. A charging light is visible on the headphones whilst charging and will go out when fully charged. The charging port is located on the right earcup.

Symphonized have also supplied a 1.2M AUX cable, this will allow to use these headphones via a standard wired connection. The plug end is a standard 3.5mm jack plug. This is great if the battery has drained or the device you wish to use doesn’t support a Bluetooth connection. User control are also on the cable too!

Pairing.

For me the best way to enjoy audio is to use a wireless Bluetooth connection. It’s so free without being snagged on cables. Pairing is simple and within a few steps you’ll be enjoying your music. Firstly, you’ll need to charge the headphones using the above process.

Once charged you’ll need to power on the headphones. The power button is located on the right-hand side earcup. Press and holding this button will start the process, an audio recorded message will let you know that you’ve powered them on.

No head over to your device and ensure that Bluetooth is both on and readily discoverable. Perform a search for ‘Symphonized BT’ this is the correct option for pairing. Now pair to this option. Sometimes you might be asked for a pass code, if this happens enter 0000 and that’s it!

Every time you wish to use these headphones in the future all you’ll need to is power them on and they will automatically connect to the last connected device.

Once connected via Bluetooth the battery lifespan is visible on the top of your device, which is cool.

User Controls.

As mentioned earlier in the review I stated all the user enabled controls are located on the Right earcup. On this area you’ll see 3 user control buttons.

The first on is the power on/off button. Pressing and holding will power them on and use the same process to turn them off. A quick press will pause your audio, pressing it again will start your music again. This button will answer an incoming phone call and hang up the call afterwards.

The next is one long button with a twin rocker switch function. The first gives you the option to skip back a track by pressing it once, pressing and holding will decrease volume. The next one up is the same except it’ll forward a track and by pressing and holding will increase the volume.

The user control buttons work well and easily perform handsfree music selection, but they take some time to get used to and mistakes are common whilst you’re getting used to the functions.

But overall, they work well, so that’s great.

Sound Quality.

For me this is the most important aspect of owning audio equipment. It’s pointless owning a beautiful pair of headphones that sound terrible. They’re so many different and bargain audio pieces of equipment on the market, especially on Amazon and it’s hard to see how a cheap pair of headphones could possibly sound decent enough for music enjoyment. But once again Symphonized have produced a great sounding pair of headphones.

At first, I wasn’t impressed with the lack of bass and what I though was a muffled sound, but after using for around an hour I was swayed and overall the sound is great.

I think it was me being used to using in-ear equipment and so it takes a while to when using overhead equipment sounding audio.

Bass is notable and Symphonized have advertised that these headphones can perform a frequency response of 20Hz-20KHz., Sensitivity of 108dB+-3DB and an impedance of 32 OHM. This is all thanks to the 40mm neodymium drivers.

Overall, I must say how much they sound good, the in-built handsfree calling function also works great, the microphone will perform as you’d expect from a using a handsfree calling device, which is good.

Noise Isolation is good until you get around to the top end of volume and then only a small amount of noise can noted by others around you. Noise cancellation is OK, is not a feature that’s advertised but you get some level of cancellation. So not too bad, especially for the price.

Symphonized have an advertised 10M but I was able to enjoy my music with around 18M without any signal drop. I also couldn’t block the signal, so I can confirm the signal is strong and performs well.
