RAVPower RP-PC068 Charger

The RAVPower RP-PC068 Charger is a charging stand designed for Qi-Enabled devices and has a maximum power output of 10W.

But what, if anything makes this wireless charger stand out from an already over-crowded marketplace?

This wireless charger can be used across many different brands and models of mobile phones, including, Apple iPhones, Samsung devices and many more!

But is this charger any good? Is it safe? Time to test it out!

Packaging.

The RAVPower RP-PC068 Charger comes neatly packaged in a Green outer cardboard box. The outer box measures 13.5cm x 7.5cm x 7.5cm and weighs 250G.

Upon opening the box, you will find the following items. 1x Wireless Charger, 1x Micro USB Cable, 1x Multi-Lingual User Guide, 1x Customer Contact Card.

RAVPower RP-PC068 Charger.

The RAVPower RP-PC068 Charger is Black in colour with White logo detailing on the front. It also has a matte finish and measures 12.0cm in height x 7.0cm in width x 7.0cm in depth. The surface area to hold your device measures 11.0cm x 7.0cm and features a lip to hold your device onto the stand. This charger also weighs only 170G.

On the front there’s an LED indicator light. This LED changes colour depending on several different factors. It’ll turn Red when power has been connected to the charger and turn off after 5-10 seconds if no device has been detected. A Green LED light indicates the charger is charging a compatible device, this Green light will turn off when your device is fully charged. If you get a Red flashing LED it means you have a problem, this could mean the charger has detected an unsupported device, or any other issue has been detected.

On the bottom of the charger the RAVPower RP-PC068 features two rubberised non-slip sections that keep the charger in one place on a smooth or polished surface. They’ll also stop you from accidentally scratching your mum’s mahogany coffee table!

Using the Charger.

To set up your RAVPower RP-PC068 Charger all you need is the supplied Micro USB cable (Which measures 125.0cm) and plug one end into the charger and the other end into any 5V DC power outlet. You can even use a laptop or PC to power the charger up.

A great feature of this model is the unique duel power coils, this means you can choose to charge your device either vertically or horizontally without affecting the charge time.

I’m using an iPhone 7 which from standard doesn’t support Qi-Enabled charging, but with an adaptor you too can enjoy wireless charging like more premium models.

I found the RAVPower RP-PC068 charged my device very well. The angle of the charge was perfect, so you can continue to use your device at the same time.

As with all wireless chargers you must be careful as to not put anything metallic on the charging surface. Doing so with would normally damage the charger, but luckily RAVPower have a built-in safety feature that will cut the power off.

The only issue for me was fingerprints, they get all over the charger due to the matt finish!

Conclusion.

I quite like the RAVPower RP-PC068 Charger, it works well. The only real issue for me is a cosmetic one, I can’t stand fingerprints all over a gadget, but if you can overlook this then you’ll be very happy indeed.

As a charger it works very well and comes with loads of safety features such as; overvoltage protection, overcharge protection, overcurrent protection, and short-circuit protection.
