Parasom M2 PH Earphones.

The Parasom M2 PH Earphones are Red in colour with Black detailing.  You get a 120.0cm cable length and these earphones also weigh a mere 16G.  Each of the earbud are magnetic and can attract to each other.  This design can help you keep your cable nice and tidy and great for quickly popping them out of your ears and around your neck.

The Parasom M2 PH feature an inner-ear hook design, this hook fits nice and snuggly into your ear shape to keep your earbuds in one position.  This is great for all those Lycra clad runners!

You do get 3 different sized inner-ear hooks to choose from.  I would suggest you try them all out and see which one you find more comfortable.  You also get 3 different sized ear-tips to choose from too.  So, by mixing the inner-ear hooks and ear-tips around you should find a fit that’s perfect for you.

You also get 2 additional outer ear-hooks too.  These simply pop on over the top of your ears and provide even more stability.  These are not actually necessary and more of an additional feature should you choose to use it.

In-Line Control.

You’ll notice you do get some sort of in-line control too.  But, this function is quite limiting and not suitable.  You’ll soon not bother to be perfectly honest as it’s a real pain in the arse,

You get 3 buttons, you get a + button, a – button, and an MFB button.  To increase/decrease the volume you need to press either +/-, to control track selection press the MFB button twice to skip, press it thrice to go to the previous track.  If you press the MFB button once it will pause your music, press it again to resume.  You also need to press the MFB once to answer an incoming call, and then twice to end the call.

As you can see it’s quite a lot to take in for such a useless thing anyway.  There’s literally no tactile feel to the buttons to instantly distinguish between them without visually locating them.  At which point you might as well just use your device to control all your music/call needs.

Sound Quality.

The sound of the Parasom M2 PH Earphones is very tinny, and you do feel these are really on the budget send of the audio market.  But, being budget is still no excuse for poor sound quality.

The sound has literally no bass tones and has only treble tones.

Another thing you’ll notice is the weight, these are very light.  I mean extremely light.  I think that’s the issue, there’re so light that the drivers have been compromised over weight saving and possibly cost saving.  I’d rather these cost a couple more quid and have a better sound.  But you get magnetic closures, I think it would be best to invest that into the inner workings and improve the overall sound quality.

One thing to mention though is the sound isolation, it’s very good.  Almost all background noise is blocked out, so the fit into your inner canal is very good.  I only wish it was replaced with some decent tones though!

The sound cancellation is alright I suppose.  When you do increase the volume to around the halfway mark your surrounding peers will be able to hear your cheesy pop tunes.  You’ll not be able to hide them with the Parasom M2 PH Earphones, it seems to be a case of sharing is caring!

I also scrunched the cable up a few times to see the build quality and they soon started to malfunction.  I think I damaged a cable internally and had a loose/dodgy connection towards the 3.5mm input jack.  So, the build quality is as good as the sound quality.  At least Parasom have evened them out!

The Parasom M2 PH Earphones also feature an in-built handsfree calling feature.  I would’ve liked to of at least said something positive about this feature, but, I really can’t!

The handsfree feature is poor and has the similar sound/microphone quality as the first earphones that used to be supplied with smartphones back in the early 2000’s.

Conclusion.

I’m not a fan of the Parasom M2 PH Earphones, and I can imagine I’m not going to be on their Christmas card list this year!

But, honesty is my policy and these are dreadful, the sound, the build quality, and the utter useless in-line control are the reason for my opinions.  I honestly can only think of one plus point and that’s the noise isolation.  Everything else is poor and the whole experience feels very budget.  I’ve reviewed loads of budget earphones before and the sound has been comparable to a more higher end audio brand, but these earphones can’t join that list and will probably end up being disposed of.
