NOTCH Bracelet

Today’s review is for the NOTCH Bracelet. The bracelet with a difference. You can select your own bracelet style and choose from hundreds of different anodised aluminium or stainless-steel Notches. Each NOTCH can be custom engraved and used to mark a memory, achievement or celebration.

Today’s review is in partnership with Busy Life an online website designed to make everyone think differently about disability. NOTCH Bracelet.

The NOTCH Bracelet comes with a drawstring bag (other storage solutions are available, including a metal gift tin). The bracelet I chose is a corded design and is Orange in colour. There’re over 10 different colour options and even a leather option too. The bead thing is called a NOTCH, there’s literally thousands of colour combination and choices to select. You’re even able to custom engrave your own version. For every life milestone you’ll be able to add a NOTCH to your bracelet.

You’ll notice two black rubber rings in the above image. These go either side of the NOTCH to prevent movement, and the more Notches you add the better this system becomes. You can even choose to custom engrave your own text to the clasp area. But a standard bracelet will feature the NOTCH logo. This clasp is made from strong neodymium magnets and snuggly fits inside the catchment area. It’s worth noting that there is no skin pinching due to this design.

Choices, Choices and Choices.

I’m Autistic so naturally jumped at the chance when Busy Life asked to collaborate with me on their selection of autism related products. These bracelets are available only on the NOTCH website. Busy Life they earn a commission from each #MyAutsim related sale. Money which is then reinvested into charity.

The hardest choice is what text, colour and bracelet combination to choose from. Under the #MyAutism section of the NOTCH website you can select from the following engraved text:

I selected ‘My autism is unique’ as for many years the word unique has been used to describe me. I’m certainly unique.

The next thing to consider is the colour of your NOTCH. You can select the above wording in Black, Blue, Dark Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Pink, Purple, Red, Stainless Steel, Turquoise, and Brass.

I chose Orange as it’s a cool colour, hence the logo colour of my website.

Measuring.

Now comes the difficult part, the measurement process. It’s quite confusing. You need to not only measure your wrist, but you need to mentally take in account the NOTCH size too as this adds to the measurement.

Each bracelet can hold around 20 notches too. So, you’ll need to think carefully about the size bracelet you’d like. I went for the medium selection for my 165mm sized wrist.

With just the one NOTCH the bracelet feels quite loose, which isn’t a bad thing. My bracelet measures 180mm in diameter.

This confirms after purchase that NOTCH take into consideration 20 notches on a bracelet to suit your initial wrist size.

Perhaps some more information from NOTCH would be helpful on this matter.

Conclusion.

I like my NOTCH Bracelet. I really like how Busy Life has created this range with NOTCH for autism awareness. The #MyAutism range is wonderful. I really like the quality too; the bracelet and NOTCH feels very well made and is also comfortable to wear too. Which for an autistic person is a massive bonus.
