The MORTAR-X RFID NFC Blocking Card is a credit card sized wireless signal blocker that prevents you becoming a victim of contactless skimming.

The MORTAR-X RFID NFC Blocking Card comes packaged inside a White mailing envelope with an added A4 paper company usage instruction.

The MORTAR-X RFID NFC Blocking Card is a normal credit card sized item but just a little thicker (1.2mm in thickness).  You do get a choice of two different designs.  The one I chose features a Peony flower design.

On the reverse you get a printed user instruction on how to best protect your contactless cards.

To use all you need to do is place this card inside your wallet or purse, that’s it!

Thieves can skim a wireless card from as far as 4M away.

The MORTAR-X uses the latest 13.56Mhz Advanced Shielding Module which automatically draws energy from the scanner and creates a disruptive field

The MORTAR-X is basically a protective forcefield that protects not only contactless cards, but ID Cards, Biometric Passports, NFC-Enabled Mobile Phones, and Key Cards/Fobs & Entry Cards.

I found it to work as described, I was unable to use the contactless card payments system at a supermarket checkout just using my wallet alone.  I had to physically remove my payment card and use outside of my wallet.

Conclusion.

I really like the MORTAR-X RFID NFC Blocking Card.  It’s a simple design and I love the fact that a single card can protect all your contactless cards. You’ll find it neatly fits into any wallet. You’ll be safe from having your payment cards wirelessly skimmed.

I highly recommend this card, and for the price it’s a great investment piece.
