GREENIS Portable Blender F-2280

Today I’m going to be reviewing the GREENIS Portable Blender F-2280. This cable-free blender has been designed for making smoothies on the go. It’s rechargeable and doesn’t require a plugged-in mains electrical supply.

You get two 250ml capacity juicer cups so can make two separate recipes at the same time. Also, the GREENIS Portable Blender F-2280 comes with a handy lid, so you can take your blended drink with you.

The clear plastic is made from Tritan, a BPA-free plastic, which is tough and will last a very long time.

The GREENIS blender is also IPX7 waterproof rated, meaning it can withstand water being splashed onto it, enabling it to be cleaned without the fear of damaging the blender.

But is this blender any good? Is it powerful? Time to test it out!

Packaging and Contents.

The GREENIS Portable Blender F-2280 comes packaged in a White/Green cardboard box. and features product images and specifications printed on it This box measures 24.0cm x 19.5cm x 8.5cm and weighs 700G.

Upon opening the box you’ll find the following items; 1x Main Blender Body, 2x Juicer Cups, 1x Juicer Lid, 1x Rubber Carry Strap, 1x Charging Cable, 1x English User Guide.

The GREENIS Portable Blender F-2280 is White in colour (Other colour options are available, including; Blue and Pink) when a juicer cup is assembled is measures 19.5cm x 7.0cm and weighs 390G.

On the bottom there’s an anti-slip rubber ring, this enables you to use the blender on smooth surfaces without it moving about.

On the front you’ll see the magnetic charging port (More on that further down) and the control button.

Charging the Blender.

Before you can start making our own smoothies, milkshakes, or juices you’ll need to charge the GREENIS blender. This is done via the supplied charger cable (Which measures 50.0cm in length), the cable features a special magnetic surface. When contact is made with the charging port on the front it’ll start to charge. In order to charge you’ll need to use any 5V DC power source for the USB end of the cable. You can use your mobile phone USB plug, or any other 5V DC USB power source. You can even use a powerbank!

Charging takes around 3-4 hours and will be indicated by a Red charging light on the front. When the light goes White, you’re good to go!

The GREENIS Portable Blender F-2280 features a rechargeable 1500mAh Lithium battery. A single charge will last 15-20 cycles (based on each 30-40 second cycle). However, I charged my blender fully a few weeks ago and didn’t use it all, when I went to use it the battery had completely drained down. So, the battery doesn’t hold a charge for a period of time.

Using the Blender.

Obviously the first thing you’ll need to do is give the blender and components a clean. Once cleaned you’ll be ready to start creating your own recipes. Simply fill the clear cup with your chosen ingredients (add water also, this helps, otherwise you’ll end up with a yogurt consistency) and screw the lid onto the blender base. You’ll need to ensure you’ve fully aligned the magnetic section of the juicer cup to the front of the blender.

Without doing this the GREENIS blender will not work. This is a special safety feature which ensure the blender will not work with the sharp blades exposed, minimising the risk of serious injury. The blender only works when the plastic cup is securely in position.

Now you’re all set!

Press the power button twice in quick succession and the blade will start to operate. You might find it struggling with larger ingredients and if you gently shake the blender whilst it’s still working, you’ll find things starting to mix about.

I was surprised just how powerful the blender was. I was able to create a smoothie from Apple, Kiwi Fruit, Strawberry’s, Blueberry’s, Lemon and Lime Juice and a splash of Water in under a minute. The blade easily chopped through a Gala Apple which I deliberately cut at a size of around 2-3cm for each piece, and it coped brilliantly.

Cleaning after use is also easy, you can use the blender (filled with water) and enable it to clean itself. hen all you’ve got to do is run the main blender blade section under a running tap to fully clean it up.

Conclusion.

I love the GREENIS Portable Blender F-2280. I was very surprised how good the blender was, I wasn’t expecting too much from a portable and small blender, but the GREENIS blender has a very pleasant surprise. The blade is sharp and manged to cut through Apple without an issue. Overall, I can’t really fault the blender other than the battery draining, even with no use!

I highly recommend this blender, it’s great to use when you have no mains electrical power available.

Honestly, purchase one, you’ll be just as amazed as me.
