Final Touch GoSip Straw

Today I’ll be writing about the Final Touch GoSip Straw. These reusable Borosilicate glass also feature soft silicone tip so you can comfortably enjoy a glass or to without hurting your teeth.

You get two glass sections and two silicone section to create either a small, medium or long straw. Perfect for all drink types and glasses.

I’m a big believer of going plastic-free wherever possible and these straws from Final Touch are a perfect alternative to plastic.

I’ve been sent two of these for review. I have 1x Blue and 1x Grey to hand.

But are they practical for everyday use? Are they easy to clean? Time to test them out!

Packaging and Contents.

The Final Touch GoSip Straw comes in a cardboard sleeve which features written product specifications printed on the outside. The sleeve measures 14.5cm x 8.0cm x 2.0cm and weighs 72G.

Inside each sleeve you’ll find the following: 1x Outer Case, 2x Glass Sections, 2x Silicone Pieces, and 1x Cleaning Brush.

Final Touch GoSip Straw.

The Final Touch GoSip Straw has a unique design of being made from glass. Usually reusable straws are made from either metal or plastic, but glass has a more superior touch. You can make up three different sized straws. You’ll be able to create either a 11.4cm, 15.2cm, or a 26.7cm sectional straw. These sizes are perfect for all drinking glasses including cocktail, beakers and large tumblers.

The outer case internally has some cut-outs that perfectly fit all the pieces without risking breakage.

Using the Straws.

In my household I’m forever banging on about reducing our plastic use. And for a few years now I can say we’ve not purchased any plastic straws. We use either paper or metal straws. But my partner doesn’t like either option as the metal straws are too cold and the paper versions quickly disintegrate. So, these are the perfect solution in theory.

Yes, the glass tips could be cold, but Final Touch have you covered with a silicone section that also doubles up as a soft tip.

Using the straws is easy, you’ll soon become a master at creating your own length straw and saving the planet of plastic waste, one drink at a time!

Caring and Storage.

To clean you need to use the supplied cleaning brush. It’s a perfect for the glass straws. On the larger piece you’ll need to clean from both ends as it’s not quite long enough to fully reach from one side. I couldn’t find any information on how to actually care for these straws on the Original Products website.

But I’d suggest that you only hand wash them using the supplied brush, just to be safe. I wouldn’t risk them in the dishwasher, and besides I think silicone goes a little funny after a few spins in the dishwasher.

So, hand washing is my suggestions to fully look after your straws.

Storage is simple as all the pieces neatly go inside your outer case. The case measures 17.0cm x 3.0cm x 1.5cm and will fit easily into your bag, pocket or kitchen drawer with ease.

Another cool fact with using these straws is the fact that they can be used for both hot and cold beverages.

Conclusion.

I really like the Final Touch GoSip Straw. It’s a great plastic alternative that can be used across all drinking glasses. You’re able to create your own length straw and once done easily clean and store your straw away, ready for next time.

Downsides to me is the lack of information with regards to maintaining and overall care for your straw.

But I really like them and fully recommend them to you. They’re not yet available for general sale on Amazon, so I’ll leave a link to the Stainless Steel version of GoSip. Hopefully Original Products soon have these available so you too will be able to enjoy them.
