It’s compatible with most major branded smartphones including iPhone (From iPhone SE upwards) and Android device that support gyro capabilities. These include the Samsung Galaxy (From S5 upwards).

You can use the Bnext VR Headset for watching movies, gaming or even to read an e-book.

But is this headset any good? Is it comfortable? Time to test it out!

The strap is elasticated and adjustable, it’ll fit a head circumference of 55.0cm to 68.0cm without stretching the elasticated band.

On the front is a slider, this enables you to quickly see your surroundings, you’ll’ need to fully close this slider before using VR.

On top you’ll see two slide switches, these are your focus and distance adjusters. This is very useful as some videos start playing out of focus.

Using the VR Headset.

Pull out the phone holder located on the right-hand side and insert your smartphone. The holder will support a device with a screen size upto 6 Inches. Place the headset onto your head and adjust the strap if needed. You can use the supplied foam pads too if you wish, these pads provide a cushion to support and protect your device.

Now search for a VR video, you can easily do this by searching ‘VR video’ in YouTube. You’ll need to select the VR icon on the video and that’s it! You’ll be viewing a virtual reality video. I did find multiple videos in YouTube, but the overall video quality is quite poor, even when you select the best video resolution.

You can use the Bnext VR Headset to play games too. I’m using an iPhone 7, so I searched on the App Store ‘VR Games’ and found loads of games available. The first one to pop up was called ‘Roller Coaster VR’.

This game was OK, it’s littered with adverts and prompts to buy the full game. It’s OK to showcase what VR games are like. You control the start with head movement, which is good.

Some games require an external source of remotely controlling games, you’ll need to purchase a remote control if required to play certain types of games. But most play with just movement.

Bnext Links.

There’s some cool links on the Bnext website for free VR games and videos. You can see these here.

I found after a while the Bnext VR Headset started to pinch on the bridge of my nose, but after a short break you’re ready to watch and play some more.

On a Monday morning I swam with dolphins and went to the edge of space, not bad!

My iPhone 7 was getting quite warm and the battery level quickly went down, so please bear this in mind.

Overall though the Bnext VR Headset is good. I like the manual focus areas too; this is important when watching different videos.

Conclusion.

I really like the Bnext VR Headset. It works very well and for the money is an absolute bargain. It works with most smartphones that have a gyroscope function. After a period of use the headset does start to pinch the nose, but after a short break the pain goes away and you’re set to go again.

I like the links Bnext provided too. I think a user button on the headset would be quite advantageous and will ensure you’re able to play more VR games.

Overall, I highly recommend this VR headset. It’s fun and educational.

If you want the Bnext VR Headset for yourself, it’s available for purchase only on Amazon. The RRP for this product is £35.95.
