The Betron XR77 Bluetooth Speaker is a portable wireless speaker which allows for incredibly easy listening wherever you are.

The Betron XR77 produces deep bass, and excellent crisp, realistic sound.

You’re able to connect this speaker to a huge device compatibility range; including your iPhone, iPad, iPod, Samsung Mobile Phone, Tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled devices within a 10m range.

Packaging.

The Betron XR77 comes packaged very neatly in a Black sleeved cardboard box.  The box measures 21.0cm x 24.0cm x 11.3cm and weighs 945G.

Upon opening the Betron XR77 box you will find the following items. 1x Speaker, 1x Micro USB Cable, 1x AUX Cable, 1x English Written User Guide, and 1x Betron Discount Card.

Betron XR77 Bluetooth Speaker.

The Betron XR77 Bluetooth Speaker is made from mostly plastic materials, the two-tone colour scheme of Black and Grey produce a modern looking speaker with unique styling!  The speaker measures 20.0cm in height x a width of 20.0cm and a depth of 8.0cm, the speaker weighs 670G.

The design and look of this Betron XR77 speaker wouldn’t look out of place in a modern art gallery, and if placed in a galley might just be the best-looking piece of art in there!  The hole in the centre is only for cosmetic purposes.  Another cool feature on the front is the Betron logo, it lights up along with the circular ring in the middle when power is on.

On the back is three buttons, these buttons are the Volume Up Button, Power On/Off Button, and the Volume Down Button.

You’ll also see on the back towards the bottom the Micro USB Input Port, and AUX Input Port along with an LED charging light indicator.

On the bottom of the speaker you’ll also see a rubber non-slip material, this provides grip and protects the surface on which you’ve put the speaker on.

Using the Betron XR77.

To start using the Betron XR77 you’ll firstly need to give it a charge using the supplied Micro USB cable (Which has a length of 50.0cm), charging takes around 4 hours and you’ll get around 4 hours of music playtime on a single charge.

The connection of the speaker to your device is a simple and painless operation.  Just power on the speaker by pressing and holding the power button until you hear an audio tone.  Now, you’ll need your device and scan for Bluetooth connections, connect to the “XR-77” and that’s it! You’re ready to listen to your music library.

If you’ve not got a Bluetooth device, no worries, Betron have you covered with a 3.5mm AUX cable (Which has a length of 50.0cm), simply plug in one end into the speaker and the other into your headphone/aux input port on your device and you’re now able to listen away without needing a wireless Bluetooth connection.

You’re able to control the volume level directly using the speaker, when you’ve hit the limit an audible tone warns you, but you’re able to increase the volume further using your device.  I found that at maximum sound settings on both the speaker and my device the speaker didn’t create any distortion at all and the sound was still clear and incredibly bassy.

Bassy Sound.

When I say incredibly bassy, I mean it!  The Betron XR77 produces bass tones similar to being stood next to an amplified sub-woofer in a nightclub without any drunk planks being around and young teens vomiting everywhere!

I love this speaker, not only for the sound produced but the actual design too is really something quite special.

Just when you think this speaker can’t possibly impress you any further, it has another feature.  You can also use this speaker for hands-free mobile phone calls! To answer and incoming call press the power button once and the music will stop and connect to your phone call.

If like me you’re also an impatient person, you’ll be pleased to know that you can charge the Betron XR77 speaker whilst also using it at the same time.  You’re also able to charge it using any 5V DC supply, and for mobile charging and use I recommend charging from a powerbank (A good one though obviously).

Conclusion.

What can I say, only that I love this speaker!  Betron have only gone and done it again!  When will higher branded speaker manufacturers take note?  Not only is the sound comparable to a higher branded speaker but the price is a lot more realistic, how other brands can charge 4 or 5 times more than this speaker completely baffles me.  I honestly cannot praise the XR-77 speaker enough, if you don’t rush and click one in your basket today I’ll be surprised.

I do have one little niggle (Yes, only the one) the charger cable needs to be longer than 50.0cm! But you can charge the Betron XR77 on any universal Micro USB cable, so I guess that’s a problem solved, but it would be nice if Betron did supply a longer cable, I think any cables that are under 1M are pretty pointless and are just annoying!

To summarise, this speaker is excellent and I love it!
