The speaker comes supplied in compact form with the pop-up sound chamber in the closed position, to open you’ll need to twist the top from the bottom section in an anti-clockwise direction.  To close push the chamber downward and twist clockwise to lock it into position.

Be careful with this function as it feels like you’re literally pulling apart the speaker and I don’t know how often you’ll be able to do this before the speaker becomes permanently damaged.

Using the Speaker.

You’ll need to charge your speaker prior to using it for the first time, charging is easy, and you’ll need the supplied Micro USB cable (Which has a length of 61.0cm).  Charging takes around 2.5 hours and you’ll be able to enjoy your club bangers for around 6 hours on a single charge.

Now, you’ll need to pair the BPS60 to your device, this is simple.  Power on the speaker and wait for the audible tone to confirm your speaker is ready.  Now go to your device and perform a Bluetooth search for “Betron” and simply connect, that’s it!  If Bluetooth is not an option, you can use the speaker via the supplied 3.5mm cable (Which has a length of 60.0cm).

Once connected I found the sound to be OK, that’s it!  It’s not the best sound in the world nor is it the worst either.  It’s a small speaker with a small sound with heavy distortion upon any kind of volume increase and I find the opening and closing of the sound chamber fiddly and cumbersome.  On a plus not, it’s a nice and compact speaker that can take a charge and play music at the same time, but the sound quality lets it down.

It’s a shame regarding the sound quality as Betron have a history of producing excellent audio equipment and I’m personally a big fan of Betron and their audio range.

The advertised Bluetooth range is around 10M and this is accurate and true.

Conclusion.

I’m a little disappointed with this speaker from Betron, it’s not very often that I say that.  The speaker feels low quality and I feel it’s only a matter of time until you break the speaker opening and closing it.  The sound is poor and bass tones are non-existent.
